GalapagosTravelPlanner.com is published by Yacu Amu Experiences, a Quito-based tour operator specialising in adventure, nature and cultural tourism for active travellers.
Our mission is to transform our clients into raving fans of Ecuador and her people. Something we manage to do almost every time.
Over the years we have served thousands of customers and almost all of them tell us they would recommend our services to other travellers.
Now in our 19th year of operations, mostly as a supplier to foreign tour operators and wholesalers, we decided to make it easy for independent travellers and the savviest of travel agents to plan and book custom, private travel directly with us.
And so it was that GalapagosTravelPlanner.com was launched.
If you too would like to enjoy the benefits of dealing direct, the first step is to request a Trip Plan.
Meet The Team
We are a team of dedicated professionals, ready to do everything we can to make your trip fabulous.
Steve is an expert on travel in Ecuador where he lived for a decade after founding Yacu Amu Experiences in 1996. He now divides his time between Ecuador and his native Australia.
"I recommend you try a viche de camaron at La Canoa Manabita when in Quito. It’s a hole in the wall with terrible service that is more than made up for by the simple, flavoursome food from the coastal province of Manabi."
Estefania spends her spare time rafting the warm rivers of the Ecuadorian amazon, chilling out on the beaches on the Pacific coast, flying across a zipline in the cloudforest and snorkelling in the Galapagos islands.
Her favourite city is the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Cuenca in the southern Andes of Ecuador.
Myriam has travelled the length and breadth of Ecuador including the Galapagos islands.
She has a deep interest and practical experience in developing community tourism projects including one she set up during the completion of her tourism degree.
An active outdoorsman and photographer, Santiago has explored Ecuador from the summits of the Andes to the underwater world of the Galapagos islands.
His knowledge of the country is invaluable when it comes to planning a trip to experience the very best of Ecuador and her people.
